ESIKHAWENI MALL, RICHARDS BAY (7 000M²)

In 2001 Graham Projects won the municipal tender to develop a shopping centre in the eSikhaweni town. We partnered with the local and very experienced Spar retailer Udo Renken, as well as developer Keith Burns to bring this 7000m² Shopping Centre to life.  The centre was a huge success and it was extremely well supported by the community. Culminating in the Spar being awarded numerous trading awards. The centre was well tenanted with the likes of a 3000m² Super Spar, Tops Bottle Store, Pep, KFC, Ellerines, Absa, FNB, Dunns and the Post Office. There was also ample opportunities for local traders to ply their trades within the Centre. 


DUBE MALL, KWA MASHU (7 500M²):

Graham Projects teamed up with developer Richard Bate on this development in Inanda, Durban. The success of this development relied heavily on relocating 20 families who were living on the site illegally. This was no easy task but was successfully concluded and the families where relocated into RDP houses on the adjacent property. The Mall opened successfully in 2007. The centre was anchored by a 3000m² Shoprite and had other national tenants such as BP Filling station, KFC, Pep, Just on Cosmetics, Jet, JAM and the Post Office.


esikhaleni plaza, richards bay (14 500M²)

After the success of Esikhaweni Mall it was clear that there was still a huge demand for additional retail space in eSikhaweni. The municipality went to tender in 2008/2009 for a 1.2ha piece of land adjacent the eSikhaweni Mall. Graham projects won the tender and partnered with 10 local shop owners to develop the eSikhaleni Plaza in 2010. The centre is anchored by Shoprite and is one of the Shoprites Groups best preforming stores in Kwazulu-Natal.

National Tenants occupied 79% of the retail space with the likes of a 3500m² Shoprite, Pep, Bears, Nedbank, Standard Bank, Ok Furniture, Spur, Shoprite Liquor, Hungry Lion, Pie City, FNB Bank,Rage shoes and Hyperpharm.


UMZIMKHULU MALL, UMZIMKHULU (15 500M²)

In 2009 Graham Projects was approached by Christopher Siphiwe Khanyile to partner with him in developing a piece of land he won through a tender in Umzimkhulu. The team partnered well and with the experience gained from developing and letting the 3 prior shopping centers The 15 500m² Umzimkhulu Mall was developed. Boasting a 87% National tenant mix and top class finishes, Umzimkhulu Mall has been a great success, employing over 600 local Umzimkhulu people and providing a vast array of spin off jobs and opportunities. The development of Umzimkhulu Mall has changed the landscape and prospects of Umzimkhulu forever. The Centre is anchored by a 3200m² Shoprite, Mr Price, Markhams, Totalsports, FNB, Nedbank,African Bank, Ackermans, Ok Furniture, Hungry Lion, Power Fashion, Edgars Active, Rage shoes and many more.
